Turnitin is a plagiarism detection service. Your instructor will set it up specifically for your class, and give you the access code. You submit your papers or assignments through that service and it will score your work based on algorithms that determine originality.
The library, unfortunately, doesn't have any administrative power over Turnitin, so you would want to seek your instructor's help if you are having trouble.
